About Us
Hope Foundation was established in January 2012 as the second children's home founded by the late David and Sushila Chaudhary. Their vision was simple: to make a difference. Over time, we have added to that vision the words one child at a time, reflecting our belief that lasting change begins with making a difference in individual lives.
The heart behind the work was to provide a home for children who had lost their parents or found themselves without the family care and support they needed. They believed that every child deserved the opportunity to grow up in a safe and caring environment, with access to education and the chance of a better future.
Since opening in 2012, Hope Foundation has continued to develop, but that original vision remains at the centre of everything we do.
From 2012 to 2024, Hope Foundation provided residential care for both boys and girls. In 2024 we became a girls-only residential home. This allows us to focus our care and resources on orphaned and vulnerable girls, who can face particular risks and difficulties without family support.
Our school, however, continues to welcome both boys and girls from the surrounding community, so our work reaches beyond the children living at the home.

Children's Home
We want to provide more than simply a place to live. We aim to create a home where children are cared for, encouraged and given opportunities to develop. Since 2024 we have been a girls-only home, currently caring for approximately 85 girls. Once with us, always with us.
We believe that no child should grow up hungry, unsafe or alone.
Nutritious meals and daily care, every day of the year.
Safe and secure accommodation, so every girl has a place she can call home.
Access to healthcare and medical attention whenever it is needed.
Personal support and encouragement to help each child grow in confidence.
Access to education and opportunities to learn through our own school.
Every child is different, and we give each one the care, encouragement and support they need as they grow.
School & Education
Education has always been an important part of the Hope Foundation vision. Our school was founded in 2016 and welcomes both girls and boys, from the home and the surrounding community. With 9 classrooms from LKG to Class 7, approximately 190 pupils currently attend.

9 classrooms in a two-storey building, open courtyards, a playground and fire-safety equipment throughout.
Sports, music, dance, life-skills sessions and career guidance help every child discover their talents.
Education and the future
We continue to take an interest in every child's progress as they move through high school, college and beyond. Our senior staff remain available and welcome visits from those who have grown up at Hope Foundation.
Whenever possible, we also organise reunions, giving former students the chance to return, share their stories and encourage the children living at the home today. We are proud to see former residents progressing in life, and hope their experiences will inspire the next generation.

Facilities & Activities
From morning devotion to evening homework time, every day is built around routine, learning and fun. Swipe or use the arrows to browse.
Our staff know every child by name. Teachers and carers spend their days alongside the children, in the classroom, at play and at every celebration, so each child feels seen, valued and encouraged.
It is this sense of belonging that makes Hope a place children are happy to come back to, long after they have grown up.

Our Impact
Since Hope Foundation began in 2012, more than 500 children and students have been supported through our residential home and school. Behind that number are individual children, each with their own story, circumstances and hopes for the future.
Some have come to us having lost their parents; others have faced difficult circumstances and lacked the support and opportunities that many children take for granted.
Our aim has always been to give them the opportunity to experience care, receive an education and build a better future.
For us, making a difference is not simply about numbers. It is about the individual lives that have been touched and the opportunities that have been created.
Although we have grown since 2012, the principle remains unchanged: to make a difference, one child at a time.
